With so many worthwhile causes to support, choosing a single charity to support can be a difficult decision. Nigel, myself and many of our colleagues have all had very personal reasons to support a particular charity. Well, we have to start somewhere, so in 2018 we have decided to support one local and one national charity.
During the course of the year the besley & copp team will be holding various events and volunteering to help raise funds for these two extremely worthwhile causes. From bowling to half marathons and much more, we hope that we can raise well needed funds for our charity partners.
Below you will find an overview of both charities and a link to their respective websites. We will keep our ‘totals’ ticking over and have also added a link to a secure Just Giving page for each of them should you wish to donate.
We are proud to be involved with both of our charity partners and hope that you can help us raise well needed funds in 2018.

ELF’s vision is that every family affected by a blood cancer or blood disorder across the South West receives compassionate, tailored support.
Dealing with a blood cancer or disorder is life changing and scary. Treatment often requires lengthy procedures meaning days, weeks or months at a time in hospital and possibly months or years of follow up. ELF lightens the load supporting families affected by blood disorders and cancers across the South West.
Raised So Far
We believe every family with a seriously ill child in hospital should be able to stay together, just minutes from their child’s bed during their treatment.
The Sick Children’s Trust believes keeping families together significantly improves the recovery of seriously ill children. We provide free, high-quality ‘Home from Home’ accommodation, as well as emotional and practical support, to families with sick children in hospital in the UK.
Raised So Far
Bowling, Friday 23rd February
A great night bowling with the nice people at Brightsea Print raising money for The SCT Sick Children’s Trust and at elf Exeter Leukaemia Fund. The final raised was £200 (£100 per charity). The start of a great year of fund raising for two very worthwhile charities!
